About Michael B. Drost,  Knifemaker

          Mike was introduced to the outdoor lifestyle at a very early age.  Being an avid Hunter and Fisherman, knives have always been a part of that experience.  As his knowledge of the outdoors grew, so did his interest in knives.

          Mike started making knives in 1986, and with orders growing fast, turned Full-Time in late 1988.

          Today, DROST KNIVES are recognized as some of the finest Hand-Crafted knives in the trade.  Attention to craftsmanship, and performance has drawn the notice of Professional Hunters, Collectors, and Celebrities.  DROST KNIVES are on display in several Museums, including the West Virginia Cultural Museum, and the Smithsonian Institute.  Several companies such as Mountaineer Archery and Custom Shooting Systems Archery have offered DROST KNIVES, as accessories.  Mike is also the Official Maker for Mossy Oak Camouflage Co., and has been featured in their International catalog with the Toxey Haas Signature Series.
